Malai kofta is a popular Indian vegetarian dish made of potato & paneer balls dunked in smooth, rich & creamy gravy. Malai translates to cream and kofta to fried balls.

Ingredients for Matar Paneer Recipe

  • Green Peas 400 grams
  • Onions 2 large
  • Ginger 1 inch piece
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato 2 large
  • Green chilli
  • Cashewnuts 5-6
  • 200gm paneer cottage cube
  • Method

    • Step-1: Heat oil 1 tablespoon in pan.Fry paneer cubes till golden brown than keep aside. Add roughly cut onion tomato and green chilli,ginger,cashewnuts. fry till goldern brown

    • Step-2: Saute till light brown place aside till cool at room temprature. grind in mixi by add 2 teaspoon water.

    • Step-3: Heat oil in pan , Add green coriender, red chilli powder,puree than mixe well than add green peas,Add turmeric and salt.

    • Step-4: Cook well by adding water if needed. End add paneer and garam masala cook for 2 minuites.

    • Step-5: Serve with laccha paratha,chapati,roti,naan etc.
