Samosa serve with chilled yogurt to make a tempting snack. Learn to make this perfect crunchy samosa at home by using this easy steps.

Ingredients for Samosa Chaat Recipe

  • Boiled potatoes 4-5 medium peeled and grated
  • Green Matar (peas)
  • 2 Green chilli fine chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoons Sauf
  • 1/2 tablespoons whole coriander
  • Fine chopped onion
  • Salt and spices to taste
  • 1 pinch hing
  • 2tbsps freshy chopped coriender leaves
  • 4tbsps all purpose flour
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Green chutney to serve
  • Tamarind chutney to serve
  • Naylon sev to serve
  • Method

    • Step-1: Heat oil in thick pan.Fry mustard seeds,cumin,hing,whole coriender and sauf.

    • Step-2: Add fine chopped green chilli and onion,green peas and add all spices than cook for 2 minuites.

    • Step-3: Add grated boiled potatoes and mixe well than keep aside.

    • Step-4: Prepration for samosa covering- Mix together ajwain,salt,flour and ghee in a mixing bowl.

    • Step-5: Rub the flour well for 2 to 3 mins in between the palms to incorporate the oil or ghee well.

    • Step-6: Take handful of flour and press down with your fingers. It must hold shape and not break or fall into small fragments.

    • Step-7: Add water little by little and mix the flour to dough. It has to be stiff & hard. Do not make a soft dough.

    • Step-8: Cover and set aside for 25 to 30 mins.

    • Step-9:How to make samosa- Knead the dough to smoothen a bit.

    • Step-10: Make 5 portions and roll to balls. Cover the dough.

    • Step-11: oil platform and rolling board. Place the ball.

    • Step-12: Roll it to a ovel shaped even layer. it has to be slightly thick and not too thin. 8.5 inches long and 6.5 inches wide.

    • Step-13: cut it in the center to make 2 parts.

    • Step 14: Apply water with your finger to edge.

    • Step 15: Make a cone shape. Stick the edge well in and out both side to secure.

    • Step 16: Fill the cone with potato masala.Press down a bit with a tiny spoon. Make sure your samosa is sealed well.

    • Step 17: Gentaly slide the samosa one by one. After you add them to the hot oil,you must see very tiny bubbles rising slowly.

    • Step 18: Fry until golden on medium flame.

    • Step-19: Serve with green chutney,tamarind chutney,chopped onion and naylon sev garnish with some chaat masala 1 pinch frashy coriender fine chopped leaves.
